The most unusual Apps around? Over the past few weeks we at the Mac Rental Company have engaged in some serious undercover journalism as we have offered up all the latest news and views from Apple headquarters. We have titillated, enthralled and speculated about the future of Apple and their next products and so whilst later today Apple will reveal their earnings for the last fiscal quarter, we have decided to take a pause on all this serious talk. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and we decided to go with a little bit of whimsy on this four-day week. So this week our blog is all about Apple’s weirdest apps for your reading pleasure.
1. Cuddlr
Feeling a little or, perhaps a little down? This app allows you to find someone cuddle in your local area, we’re not entirely sure if this cute or creepy; the judges are out on this one. But, if it does float your boat it is available on the iPhone 6, 6s and 7 as well as your iPad.
2. Demotivational Pics
At Mac Rental Company we rather like this app. For those who are perhaps exhausted with the relentless posting of instagrammers and their aspirational lifestyle and inspirational photos, this app posts pictures that remind you just how bad it is. Beucase, sometimes you just need to hide under the duvet, eat ice cream and look at some memes on your iPad. We recommend you download this instantly.
3. Spin O Wrist
This app is available on the Apple watch and works an awful lot like spin the bottle, but on your wrist, through a watch. This might quite possibly be a very good example of someone using technology to overcomplicate what should be a rather simple activity. But, hey ho each to their won.
4. Carr Matey
We actually think this is a pretty spectacular idea. Ever parked your car at a shopping centre only to forget where on earth you left it? Don’t worry we have all been there – and this app aims to help by informing you where you left your car. The slightly odd spin on all this? It tells you in a pirate voice – ai matey.
