You know Most astonishing facts about Apple?? We admit it, we are Apple nerds and we love learning new and exciting facts about the leading technology brand. We are kind of assuming you feel the same way, so we have compiled the geek’s guide to Apple for those who know the basics, but crave a little bit more knowledge. Here are the most astonishingly ludicrous, fantastic facts about Apple.
Ronald Wayne
Never heard of him? Nope, us neither. But, Mr. Ronald Wayne was actually one of the three founders of Apple alongside Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. For reasons unknown to us Wayne left the company only 12 days after it was founded and sold his 10% share for $800 alongside an additional pay-out of $1,500 – that 10% sure would now be worth a whopping $60 billion. The now 80-year-old claims he has no regrets, but we don’t believe him either.
No smoking
Most people in this day and age would agree that smoking probably isn’t the best thing for your health, but Apple have taken that one step further. If an Apple user is found smoking near their MacBook Pro, Air or Pro with Retina they could well invalidate their warranty. It would seem the dangers of second hand smoking are not limited to people.
The US Treasury
This one might be a little worrying to our US readers, although thankfully we only deal with customers in London and across the UK and we’re not quite ready to ship to the States, yet. But, it would seem that Apple has twice as much operating cash as the US Treasury. Although for reasons we don’t really understand, apparently it’s not quite that simple because the treasury can always print more money if required. We are similarly bamboozled, but get that basically Apple is stonking rich.
iPhone
On the photo of any iPhone, from the iPhone 6 right up till the iPhone 7s and every iPhone in between, the time is always 9.41 am. “Why” – we hear you ask? Because that was the time Jobs unveiled the very first iPhone, of course.
Medical benefits
Allegedly, for the first 15 years of the company, Jobs was technically only paid $1 so he could qualify for the company’s health benefits. We at Mac Rental Company find this one a little hard to swallow, given that he was worth around $7 billion, but all geniuses have their idiosyncrasies.
