Mac Rental’s top 10 Apple products. Here at Mac Rental Company, we can finally breathe, out of the darkness that is dry January where we suffer without money, alcohol and, instead, struggle with that constant permanent state of bloating we are overjoyed to finally welcome February. Because we are excited, we decided to do our blog to make our inner Apple nerds squirm with detail; a list of our favorite ever Apple products it is really an homage to Steve Jobs – where we celebrate his wonderful achievements. But, with so many products to chose from we had to split our list, so here is number 1 – our – our five best ever Apple products.
Apple 2
It is pretty obvious, given its name that this wasn’t exactly the first ever Apple computer ever produced. However, built only a year after the original Apple computer, it really was an innovative and revolutionary product that, in fact, was still being produced well up until 1993 – not too shabby. One of the first personal computers to have colour graphics, it even had two gaming paddles that came out of the box as well as eight slots built in to allow customers to customise their own laptop. It cost, a pretty hefty $1,298 when it first went on sale, but Apple still managed to sell well over 300,00 units and it raised an impressive $79 million in 1979. Let me tell you Mac Rental’s top 10 Apple products.
The Mac
The computer that changed the world as we know it, and released admits more fanfare than the Cirque de Soleil thanks to THAT Super Bowl commercial, it saw Jobs come back to force. Treating its users like a friend, it welcomed users with a smile and featured a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse as well as a phenomenal graphical user interface. Costing users a pretty astronomical $2,495, we still think it is a worthwhile investment. Just imagine how much it is worth today.
iTunes
When we think about Apple products we often think about their hardware – we stare longingly at the Apple Watch, iPhone 7 or MacBook Retina Pro. However, Apple is more than just its product line, it also has a fantastic service line that can really help add value. iTunes was introduced in 2001 and was the first system that allowed users to store all their songs on a computer in one place. Not only that, and in a pretty rare move from Apple, iTunes was and remains completely free to download. It has pretty much changed the way we listen to music, and for that, Apple we salute you.
iPhone
First released ten years ago the iPhone changed the world. Starting at around $500, it sold 6.1 million units and was still accounting for more than 50% of Apple’s revenue, the iPhone remains one of the most important inventions in mankind.
iPod
We remember when this first released and the excitement over a gadget that meant you could listen to music wherever you were. To be fair, the iPod was not the first portable music player, but it was the best. Known for its famous click-wheel which helped users scroll through their library with ease, it was user friendly, achingly cool and sadly made redundant with later iPhones like the iPhone 5 and 6 which had enough capacity to store plenty of music.
