Today, the HomePod speaker system finally went on sale, much to the jubilation of not only the team at the Mac Rental Company, but Apple fans around the world. Seven years in the making, and with engineers bound to a vow of complete secrecy, it was meant to come out in December 2017 and already sold out, the HomePods are the answer to all your prayers. Long-delayed, long anticipated the Siri powered speaker is sure to be a huge improvement on its competitors, who we won’t mention here out of staunch loyalty to our favourite brand Apple nd now Mac Rental Company reviews the release of the HomePod.
Wanting first time buyers to make the most of the HomePod Apple has provided helpful iOS tips to new HomePod buyers as well as a little video to demonstrate precisely how the HomePod should be used.
Unsurprisingly, the HomePod has been released to largely positive reviews, which is probably about right as it costs an impressive $349 and means you have to use both iOS and Apple music. Let’s be honest Apple aren’t big on collaboration. According to some of the earlier reviews the HomePod boasts fantastic separation and bass response as well as fantastic subtlety of sound that makes the product well worth the investment. This is because the HomePod has been imbued with spatial awareness which means it can seamlessy adapt to any room whilst still offering the best possible sound quality.
Not only that, but it also provides astounding voice recognition, putting other smart speakers to shame – allowing you to start a command at a fair distance or, even, whilst music is playing. All this is achieved without any fussing or tweaking – simply plug this lovely new Apple device in and you are ready to rock and roll (see what we did there.)
Alongside listening to music, on HomePod you can also send and read messages, create notes and reminders whilst Siri can give genera information on traffic, weather and even set alarms. And if you fancy trying out your linguistic skills you can even try out the HomePod in a number of different languages from French to German to Chinese.
Beyond its functionality, of course, the HomePod is really just astoundingly pretty – when it has a voice command it shows up with pretty swirling patters on the top of the device and coming in a sleek white it a lovely, minimalist addition to any home.
