iPhone 8 set to be the most expensive mobile yet. Last week we reported on the huge financial success of Apple as they, once again, smashed world records and managed to become, essentially, the richest company in the world. Yes, their profits topped $800 billion with some analysts believing that the $1 trillion mark is well within sight.
Well, it seems that Apple are taking some pretty serious moves to make this dream a reality as their iPhone 8 will be their most expensive gadget yet. Now, Apple is known for many things: quality, style and innovation to name a few, but they have never really gone for low prices, not by a long way. In fact, on Boxing Day Apple is quite possibly the only shop without queues snaking round its perimeter. However, it would seem in their latest move that they have taken this one step further because whilst the current iPhone on the market, the iPhone 7, starts at $649, the iPhone 8 will cost $1000 – yes you read that correctly – one thousand dollars, with possible variants costing even more. And what’s really amazing is that despite this pretty hefty price task, most pundits believe that Apple will have no problem shifting their stock. Yes, they really are that good. As well as all the phenomenal features included in your standard iPhone, the iPhone 8 will also include a whopping 64B of storage, a 5.8 inch bezel-less OLED display and most excitingly, no home button on the front. We reckon if you get your name on the waiting list now, you might have a chance at a first edition.
However, worry not – if $1,000 is a little outside of your price range Apple will also be releasing an anniversary iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s (now that should be a little more affordable). As well as releasing new iPhones, it is believed that Apple will also be releasing a new iPad with thinner bezels and a bigger screen as well as a revamped version of Siri at a tech conference in a couple of weeks. And, as if that wasn’t enough speculation to titillate you Apple fans, Apple is also planning to release a competitor to the Amazon Echo that will be function as both high-end speakers and a vocal assistant. Happy days.
