Early images of Apple iPhone 8?? It’s rare in the world of technology that we get to release breaking news, but after the lovely, long Easter break that saw our team eat far too much chocolate, we came back to two pretty big news stories. It would seem that Theresa May has called a snap general election. Wow. But, to be completely honest our team were even more shocked to find out that there had been leaks, yes leaks at Apple HQ. The iPhone 7 sold out within just a few short weeks of hitting the market, but many criticised it for not being a real advancement on the iPhone 6, and so it would seem that Apple is pulling out all the stops for the iPhone 8.
New images have been released that claim to be the latest iPhone 8 which see a full-frame screen, rounded corners and no bezels. It would seem that Apple is choosing to hide a fair few components under the OLED display including the fingerprint sensor, the front camera, 3D depth sensors and top speakers. The drawings also suggest that the handset will measure 137.54 mm by 67.54 mm with a display of a phenomenal 5.768 – almost the entirety of the smart phone. The new iPhone will also use an organic light-emitting diode display that far more accurately displays colour
One of the most exciting parts of the leak is the claim that Apple will integrate the touch ID under the iPhone 8’s display, as well as for the front facing camera and proximity sensors. This would offer users a far cleaner and slicker look. However, before you get started – Apple seem to be facing challenges in perfecting this technology and it is believed that that there is a plan B, just in case the technology is not ready in time. In fact, the iPhone design is still very much in flux as Apple, is apparently, testing and trying out a number of different designs – to make sure that this iPhone is flawless. That’s why the heavily curved glass may be modified in time for shipping day, to make it easier to mass produce whilst the clever techs at Apple HQ are experimenting with a vertical dual-camera system that would result in better photos #instagrammable.
Of course, these rumours are focused purely on the external – and we, for one, are still holding our breath with anticipation to see what is going on inside the iPhone.
