Now we know…we are big fans of Apple and so if it was up to us they would be granted every single award. Frankly, if we could award them an Oscar then darn it, we would. However, obviously this would prove a little problematic so instead we have compiled a list of just a few of the awards won by Apple for your enjoyment this Christmas.
Technical Emmy, 2017
It is pretty rare for a company to be awarded an Emmy. Generally the recipients are TV shows, actors, makeup artists and the like. However, Apple are always one to defy the odds. So in 2017 Apple was awarded an Emmy for big breath here contextual voice navigation for Discovering and Interacting with TV content. What this actually means is that Apple created Siri which allows you to quickly find TV shows and content on Apple TV, well done Apple. And it turns out this wasn’t even the first time Apple won an Emmy. In fact they won one back in 2014 in the “outstanding commercial” category.
Brand of the Year
In 2012 and 2013, yes that’s two consecutive years’ ladies and gents Apple was awarded “Brand of the Year” by Harris Interactive for its MacBooks, iPads and iPhones. Driven primarily by their “ubiquity and popular scoring” – Apple was a natural winner for this award.
The Design Gold Award
Occasionally referred to as the “Design Oscar,” and so sitting nicely next to their Emmy, Apple won this prestigious and revered award for the Apple Watch in 2015, before it was even out. This is impressive not least because, since 1985, it has totted up a huge 125 awards (of which 44 were of a gold standard) with the first award being for the Apple ICC.
World’s most Admired Companies
For the tenth year on the trot, yes that’s close to a decade Apple has held the top spot as Fortune’s “most admired company.” Collecting data from 3,8000 executives, analysts, directors and industry experts allows Fortune to pick Apple year after year. And can we blame them? For their phenomenal staff, desire to strive to the future and impact on the world as well as their products like the iPhone X, MacBook Pro and iPad there is little doubt that Apple is the natural winner to this award.
Flickr, Camera Popularity
This one comes as no surprise to the team at Mac Rental Company.
