You know Apple has just started Apple Pay in Belgium and Kazakhstan ? Apple recently launched its Apple Pay Payment System in Belgium and Kazakhstan giving customers the opportunity to make purchases in stores using iPhones through the Apple mobile payment system.

Apple Pay enables customers to make transactions at the retail store using the NFC chip inside the iPhone and Apple Watch. The service is accepted where there are standard NFC payment terminals

With the launch, Belgium becomes the latest European nation where citizens can make use of Apple Pay. However, Apple Pay is exclusive only to BNP Paribas Fortis, alongside its subsidiaries like Fintro and Hello Bank for both Visa-based and Mastercard cards. Customers of other banks will have to wait for some months for Apple Pay to be made available to other financial institutions in the country.

In Kazakhstan, on the other hand, the support for Apple Pay commenced with Eurasian Bank for Mastercard customers, other participating banks and credit issuers include Apple Pay includes the following ATFBank, Sberbank, Bank, Halyk Bank, ForteBank and CenterCredit.

With the inclusion of Belgium and Kazakhstan, the total number of countries where Apple Pay is offered by participating banks is 31. It is expected that more countries will be added on the list soon.

Already Apple has announced that Apple Pay will be launched in Germany before the end of 2018.
