Ahead of the 2019 Consumer Electronic Show, US telecommunication giant. Apple displays Billboard about Privacy and security of its devices in Las Vegas.
The billboard which was first spotted by Chris Velazco displays an iconic Las Vegas tourism slogan which reads: “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” “What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone.”
Although Apple does not have an official presence at CES. It made a splash at the event through the billboard which is located near the Las Vegas Convention Center. With many prominent Las Vegas hotels that Apple displays Billboard about Privacy and security of its devices.
Apples decision to put up a billboard with the slogan above is quite significant because CES is expected to bring together thousands of tech industry attendee’s tech exhibitors, media members among others.
In addition, major Apple competitors like Google, Amazon and Samsung will be present at CES to showcase their smartphone devices, smart office devices, smart home devices amongst other products.
It is not yet clear when the billboard was put in place, but the aim is clearly to inform CES attendees who will be seeing different products from companies. With less of a privacy focus like Google and Amazon.
Apple is also reminding tech experts of its heavy emphasis on privacy with the billboard offering up a link to Apple’s dedicated privacy website.
The billboard also includes a link to the Apple Privacy page on its official website, where visitors are greeted with a text that reads.
“At Apple, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. And so much of your personal information — information you have a right to keep private — lives on your Apple devices. Your heart rate after a run. Which news stories you read first. Where you bought your last coffee. What websites you visit. Who you call, email, or message. Every Apple product is designed from the ground up to protect that information. And to empower you to choose what you share and with whom. We’ve proved time, and again that great experiences don’t have to come at the expense of your privacy and security. Instead, they can support them.”-Apple
Apples focus on privacy is not a new development for its customers, because the firm as earlier claimed that it makes money only from the sales of software and hardware and not from clients information thats why Apple displays Billboard about Privacy and security of its devices.
