Now we know Valentine’s Day is coming up and wherever you look companies are either preparing you for this day – making sure you don’t forget to buy your loved one flowers or chocolates or a card. 1. Tinder Social

Well this does what it says on the tin, basically. Whereas the Tinder app has become somewhat notorious for encouraging nefarious activity, Tinder social is its all together more wholesome and friendly cousin. Best used on the iPhone 6 or iPhone 7 you can form groups of friends and also meet up with other people’s groups of friends. Once your group matches with another group – you start messaging and voila you have expanded your social circle.

We admit, it at Mac Rental Company we aren’t necessarily as fit as we would like and we could definitely do with getting ourselves to the gym. If you are a little like us this App may well be perfect for you. Matching you with a partner with a similar sporting interest you could try going for a run with a new running partner or maybe check in for a spot of tennis. Easy to use, you can even rate your new found friend – using a scale of one to five “knuckles” based on their athletic ability – making sure you’re not matched with the Tyke Tyson or Serena Williams of the amateur sporting world.

It may be that your new best friend is right on your doorstep! Nextdoor is a nifty little App that allows you to connect with your neighbours. Not only that, but through its secure database you can also keep lists of local recommendations or classified Ads. Integrating into any Apple device – you reckon this one is well worth a bookmark on your MacBook.

Being a first time mother can be daunting, scary and rather lonely. Particularly if, up until that time, you have been in full time employment. Peanut is a truly remarkable app that aims to build a community of women who are also mothers. A wonderful initiative, it is perfect for the busy mum who is balancing her iPhone 7 in one hand and baby in the other.

1. We3

Last but by no means least is We3. This App puts you into groups of 3 through the use of statement cards and you have to decide if you agree, disagree or are neutral. Some clever algorithms will then check your answers and put you into a group of 3 with people who had similar answers.
